Brian Communications, a national strategic communications agency headquartered in Philadelphia, is continuing their virtual program to provide college students around the country with professional development opportunities amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the success of The Summer Seminar Series, The Fall Seminar Series will feature six masterclass sessions, led by Brian employees, on topics such as media relations, event planning, social media strategy and advertising. Sessions will be held from September through October and will provide students with insights into agency life, while giving them direct access to industry professionals. Upon completion of the program, all participants will receive a certificate, resume review and career counseling.
“While we may not physically be in the office, we still wanted to give students the same opportunities they would have gotten through our internship program, which we have worked hard to build over the last several years,” said Brian Tierney, CEO of Brian Communications. “So, we created the Brian Communications Seminar Series to provide them with a forum to learn from our team and create valuable relationships with industry professionals, as well as other students. Our internship program has always attracted high-caliber talent, and we wanted to help these budding professionals hone their skills in a way that is consistent with our mentor-driven approach.”
Sessions will be conducted via Zoom, and each session will feature a brief ice breaker, presentation and designated Q&A period. Students are encouraged to participate throughout and make connections with the Brian team. CEO Brian Tierney will lead the final session and offer lessons he has learned over his 30+ years in the marketing industry.
“It’s really about creating a space to learn. Personally, I always learn so much from our interns, and I am looking forward to leading the final session,” Tierney said.
